Our Purpose...
is to help those who are experiencing a temporary food crisis or those who are at risk. We provide enough food to last for a couple of days.
Over the years we have seen a drastic increase in the number of individuals and families served as the population in the valley continues to grow. Since our inception in 1995 our number served has increased from 888 to 5,773 in 1999. We estimate that in 2006, we served over 10,000.
Funding is provided largely by the members and friends of Heritage United Methodist Church and the community. Some food provisions are provided by the USDA commodity program and community food drives.
This agency is in accordance with the US Dept. of Agriculture.
Those who ignore the needs of the poor will also be ignored in their time of need.
(Matthew 5:1-2)
